The society controls the fishing rights on four lakes, one close to the town centre the other three in Great Hallingbury. The society also controls the fishing rights on stretches of the River Stort at Bishops Stortford and Harlow. WebThe Society tries to cater for all aspects of angling - from those that wish to fish matches, those that simply enjoy the pleasures of pitting their wits against the increasingly more 'educated' fish and enjoying the delights of nature, to the angler intent on pursuing and catching that elusive 'specimen' fish.
